5. iCloud sync
If iCloud is enabled, the App syncs your information across your devices through the iCloud (CloudKit) service provided by Apple Inc. The data is stored in the private database of your iCloud account, to which the Controller has no access.
Fields with personal content (names, amounts, notes, dates, currencies, exchange rates, IBAN, bank and payment method) are end-to-end encrypted on your device before they are sent, so that not even Apple can read them. Certain technical data is not encrypted and is visible to Apple: the number of records and their creation and modification dates, the relationships between records, and values with no personal content, such as the transaction type (expense, income or transfer), the frequency of a recurring transaction, or a category's icon and color.
If you lose access to your iCloud Keychain, the encrypted fields cannot be recovered from iCloud; the copy on your device is not affected. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. If you do not use iCloud, the App works normally and your data is stored only on your device.
